Aaron Deves is an enterprising executive leader with 28 years of experience in the life sciences industry. He is known for his exceptional skills in leadership, strategy, brand creation, team building, innovation, and project execution, which have led to the successful development and growth of numerous businesses and brands. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to manage complex situations and teams, earning him a reputation for excellence in the field of life sciences.
Most recently, he was serving as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Marketing for the U.S. Specialty Business at Teva Pharmaceuticals and was instrumental in driving the company's turnaround to growth and success. He drove the development and implementation of the Specialty growth strategy which resulted in taking on a declining business and turning it into the key growth business at Teva. Under his leadership, the specialty business unit saw a significant increase in net sales, gross margin, and operating profit. His creation and development of the neuroscience strategy led to the launch of AUSTEDO XR, AJOVY, and
UZEDY which are now the foundation of growth at Teva.
Before his role at Teva Pharmaceuticals, he held significant positions at other leading
pharmaceutical companies, including Otsuka Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer. Notably, at Otsuka, he served as the Vice President of U.S. and Global Marketing, spearheading the commercial strategy and execution of the Otsuka Neuroscience Portfolio. During his tenure at Otsuka, he built the US Commercial Team, which was responsible for the commercialization of ABILFY, the largest selling pharmaceutical brand in the U.S. in 2013 and 2014 and the launch of REXULTI in 2016. During his 16 years at Pfizer, he played a crucial role in the global development of Alzheimer's disease treatments and held various leadership positions in marketing, sales, and operations.
Aaron has a diverse background in strategic planning, brand development, marketing, market access, operations, and sales management across various sectors, including biologics, vaccines, and small molecules, at various stages of the product life cycle. His expertise extends to global commercialization and the evaluation of asset opportunities, which have led to multiple business development deals and product agreements. He has directly led or played a critical role in numerous successful brand launches.
